I have always been a keen observer of plants.  I pay attention to the details that define a species, a geographic location, and maybe indicate a change in the seasons, hence my photography lies at the intersection of botanical art and science.  I strive to bring intimate views of plants, emphasizing their textures, shapes, and patterns, as well as their evolutionary success. I choose to hand print my images on fine art papers using metals like platinum and gold, making each print both unique and precious.  My images are small by design, providing the viewer with a chance to slow down and reflect on the quiet of nature’s architecture. Each limited edition print shows subtle variations and each being crafted with meticulous care.

My images have been exhibited at botanical centers and art galleries in the US. More recently, I was the resident artist at Hypatia-in-the-Woods in Shelton, Washington and presented a solo show at the Jonathan Trumbull Wright Gallery in Colorado.
