Leaves

In this collection of images of leaves, I am intrigued by the variety found in both leaf shape and leaf arrangement.  Patterns persist in the delicate branching veins running throughout the leaves and the emerging spirals of newly emerging leaves. Adaptive leaf structures like spines, waxy and hairy surfaces all help ensure survival.
